Gelato Maker

General Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Sanitation Practices (GSP) necessary in food operations.

  • Follow procedures as established.

  • Assist in the daily production of gelato to include setup, picking and handling of ingredients and supplies for the processing of gelato; and the cleaning and sanitation of the work area for next day production.

  • Engage in the process of gelato, the standards to be followed and the safety of product from mix through packaged state.

  • Maintain inventories by rotating properly.

  • Keep storage areas neat and clean of any rubbish or foreign objects.

  • All other duties as deemed necessary by management.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience of minimum 1 year (or positive attitude to be willing to learn a new trade/skill).

  • Have a legible handwriting.

  • Personal hygiene practices a must.

  • Must have a positive work attitude and work well with people.

  • Professional communication skills are required.

  • Ability in mathematics (measurements).

  • Ability to take direction.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

  • Must have attention to details to ensure final products meet set standards.
