General Responsibilities:

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.

  • Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.

  • Change dishwater in dish machine every hour.

  • Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.

  • Set up or break down dishwashing area.

  • Clean and roll/unroll mats.

  • Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions.

  • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.

  • Sweep and mop floors around your work area.

  • Assemble and disassemble dish machine.

  • Notify manager any time the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below standard safety temperatures.

  • Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.


  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.

  • Experience of minimum 1 year.

  • Food handlers permit required (carchi berde).

  • Understanding and knowledge of safety and sanitation.

  • Have time management skills.

  • Be flexible, reliable and be able to work at a fast pace.

  • Ability to follow job and safety instructions.

  • Be reliable and thorough.

  • Have awareness of health and safety.

  • Work well in a busy and demanding environment.

  • Can communicate effectively at all levels.
